H.E. Ambassador Edhem Pašić, Head of Office for Special Diplomatic Activities at Ministry of Foreign Affairs, on 2nd of October gave the conference for our students speaking on Bosnia and Herzegovina's exceptional geo-strategic position in Balkans and multicultural environment and it's role to international relations.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teoman Duman, Rector Deputy for International and Inter University Cooperation, welcomed H.E. Edhem Pašić to the University and introduced him with short history of the institution. After short conversation H.E. Pašić met with conference organizers, IBU Business and Development Club (BDC) students.
H. E. Pašić at the student's conference emphasized his pleasure of meeting and sharing his experiences with young people, BDC members and student audience. H.E. Ambassador introduced himself, modestly speaking about his rich career as youngest member of ex-Yugoslavia government and 7 years long duty as Ambassador to Kuwait.
Speaking of history of the country, Mr. Pašić underlined uniqueness of monumental medieval tombstones across Bosnia and Herzegovina, called Stećci, inspiring students to explore this treasure. Also he invited students to educate themselves in order to preserve Bosnian inheritance.
At the end of the conference Mr. Pašić was glad to receive Mehmed II "the Conqueror"`s Ahdname as a present on behalf the University, as he said this is "extremely important document " testifying and assuring preservation of human rights.
