IBU Students Participated at the U.S. Culture Festival

A group of students from English Department were selected as honorable guests of several events, part of the U.S. Culture Festival named ''One Country of Many Nations'', what is another example of the strong collaboration our University and the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Headed by Mr. Azamat Akbarov, Head of the English Department, students witnessed to a great presentations of the diverse American culture. After attending the fascinating show of the 'Step Africa' crew (www.stepafrica.com) on Wednesday night, 18th of April, our students were participants of an interesting stand-up comedy workshop in Kriterion Theater the next day, led by famous stand-up comedians Pedja Bajović and Adi Fejzić.

Later that night, Jasmin Alić aka BIGGA, 2nd year student, blazed the packed crowd at Kriterion Theater with two explosive performances of his original hip-hop music. After the performances, Mr. James Hagengruber of the US Embassy Culture Department handed an appreciation certificate to our hip-hop artist, signed by the US ambassador in Bosnia and Herzegovina, H. E. Patrick S. Moon.

Later on, Nedim Frko, also a 2nd year student of English Department, amused the crowd with his hilarious first public stand-up comedy performance.

Once again, International Burch University would like to express its gratitude for invitation of our talented students, and the continuous support of the US Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina in all our projects and efforts.
