Professor Vivian Cook held an amazing linguistic workshop today
A crowd of academicians and students had an extraordinary opportunity to attend the workshop, hosted by Mr. Vivian Cook, Professor of Applied Linguistics at the School of Education, Communication and Language Sciences of the Newcastle University in England.
Professor Cook finished the first part of his visit to International Burch University with the workshop titled The Role of L1 in Teaching, held today on 16th of October, where he stressed on the importance of the knowledge of mother tongue in the process of learning a foreign language.
The 2nd workshop was held at 4:00 p. m., and our distinguished host elaborated the topic Strategies for Learning and Processing Language.
University highly appreciates the effort of Mr. Cook for coming to Sarajevo and sharing his enormous linguistic experience with students and it also appreciates the endeavor of our Department of English Language and Literature for the organization of the event.
