DAAD Scholarships Program Presented
Students of all three faculty units of International Burch University visited German Embassy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, Sarajevo, on 5th of December. Mr. Jens Wagner, Cultural Attaché and Ms. Jasna Letic – Besovic, hosted the students and Vice Rector for International Relations Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azamat Akbarov.
Mr. Wagner explained the significant tasks of the Embassy, which included the representation of political, economic, cultural and military stands of Germany and its relation to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Mr. Akbarov reflected on the scholarships for MA and PhD programs that German Embassy gives annually, stating that Burch University also gives scholarships in different categories, what made an introduction and encouraged students to open the topic of DAAD, German Academic Exchange Service.
Ms. Jasna Letic – Besovic DAAD correspondent in the Embassy, explained the details about the application and underlined the primary conditions for applicants, such as knowledge of German, the C1 level and the 15th of November as the deadline. She also mentioned the possibility of work for every student under the scholarship, what is certainly enough for earning the extra pocket money.
Mr. Wagner and Mr. Akbarov characterized the visit as a fruitful for strengthening the relations and invention of other ways of cooperation, in the favor of the education of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
