Student Career Workshop Held

Career Development and Business Relations Office (CBRD) invited the representatives from the Youth Employment Project, supported by the Swiss Agency for Cooperation and Development, and offered first seminar for students to get valuable insights about the employment opportunities in the country.

Mr. Mike Chambers and Mr. Ranko Markus presented the current labor market situation in regard to youth employment. As experienced project staff, they provided their own experiences alongside statistics, which are helpful to the process of seeking an employment. In addition, they emphasized that the workday is a process, and requires a certain determination and a good plan.

After the speeches, there was a question answer part, and the lecture ended with the handing letters of appreciation from Vice-Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teoman Duman to the guests.

The main goal of the CDBR office is to enhance collaboration with the rest of society and to keep an ongoing dialogue and exchange of knowledge between the University, the business world, the local communities, organizations and students. CDBR office plans to offer our students more specialized seminars and workshops in CV development and presentation skills.
