Burch University was host of the debate on Wednesday, May 29th.
The debate was organized by the Business Development Club (BDC) of Burch University and Centre of Cultivating Dialogue (CKD) Sarajevo. Sanja Vlaisavljević held an introductory speech, expressing her satisfaction with debate, especially because of the fact that students were organizers of the event.
Presentation of the debate was in British Parliamentary format, and consisted of two teams: preposition and opposition. Preposition team had First government (Amine Khadyr and Belkisa Sulejmanović) and Second government (Kemal Kečo and Semira Budić), and opposition was divided as First team (Jasmina Ademović and Dina Hatibović), and Second team (Muhamed Mulahmetović and Elvisa Buljubašić).
Both teams done a great job defending their thesis, and after the presentations board of judges withdrawn to decide the winner. Prof. Dr. Meliha Handžić, Sen. Teach. Assist. Edin Smajić, both from Faculty of Economics, and CKD representatives Anja Gengo and Ardanela Ridžalović were judges.
Winner of the debate was Second government of preposition team, and the best debater was Kemal Kečo, from the same team. At the end, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Ali Göksu, Dean of the Faculty of Economics, kindly handed Certificates to all debaters.
