Ammar and Slađan won ICEM'14 Award

Ammar Talić and Slađan Veselinović together with Yağmur Kırkağaç made project „Sound Plug“, under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Murat Doğruel. With the „Sound Plug“ project they participated to project competition that was organized along with International Conference on Energy and Management (ICEM 2014) at Bilgi University in Istanbul on June 5-7, 2014, and won first place and great prizes.

The project is about smart plug that provides insights into energy consumption and provides more control over appliances. What makes this smart plug unique is the way it’s controlled by using sound waves, working independently of Wi-Fi, LAN or Bluetooth.

Ammar Talić and Slađan Veselinović, are students of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies at International Burch University, who spent academic 2013/2014 at Marmara University in Turkey within the Mevlana Students Exchange Program.
