More than 200 high school students participated with 105 projects and 5 short movies.
International Burch University for the 4th time from its establishment hosted projects competition for high school students from entire Bosnia and Herzegovina, Burch Olympiad 2015, which was done under the auspices of the Federal Ministry of Education (FMON).
Opening ceremony started at 09:00 am was attended by the representativeof of Federal Ministry of Education and Science, Nadija Bandić, Ambassador of Pakistan, H.E. Muhamed Jusuf, Prof. Dr. Mehmet Uzunoğlu, Burch Rector, members of Bosna Sema Educational Institutions management, companies representatives, and university officials, participants of the Olympiad, their mentors, school directors and other guests.
105 projects were presented in four categories: Engineering, Environment, Web design and I Have an Idea. This year Olympiad had a special category Short Movie, where there were 5 movies competing for the title of the best.
Students from Sarajevo, Tuzla, Bihać, Mostar, Zenica, Zavidovići, Lukavac and other cities were competing for valuable cash prizes and scholarships for studies, prizes for their mentors, and discounts on tuition for study at Burch University, while all participants received a certificate of participation.
The goal of the Burch Olympiad project is to encourage young people, to think about real problems in your microenvironment, and by using available resources, to offer ideas and solutions from your own perspective. 110 projects in total have shown that every of unique ideas has valuable potential and that Bosnia and Herzegovina really has huge potential in human power .
