Erasmus + Contact Seminar in Vienna

Head of International Office, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azamat Akbarov joined the Western Balkans Contact Seminar in Vienna, between 17-19 of December 2015.

The main idea of the contact seminar was to enhance higher education cooperation between the program and partner countries; the need for such an event has arised especially from the results of the first round of applications in Erasmus + programs. Directorate General for Education and Culture of the European Commission, National Erasmus+ Offices, National Agencies and around 150 universities from the EU member states and around 80 universities from the Western Balkans joined the event. Due to its long tradition of cooperation with international institutions BURCH University was invited to participate in this event so Bosnia and Herzegovina was represented with all state eight universities and BURCH University as well.

During the seminar information on the Erasmus+ programme (Erasmus+credit mobility, Erasmus+ Capacity Building Projects, Erasmus Mundus Joint Master Degrees, Jean Monnet – with specific emphasis on credit mobility) as well as on the higher education systems of participating countries were provided. Networking and partner search was also facilitated. Professor Akbarov along with his colleagues from other Bosnia and Herzegovina  universities met representatives of program countries arranging possible future cooperation.
