On 3rd of March, students of English Language and Literature Department of International Burch University organized a program in the honour of celebrating the Independence Day of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
Dean of Education Faculty, Assoc. Prof. Azamat Akbarov addressed the audience at the very beginning and congratulated such an important day to students and professors and emphasized the importance of honoring this meaningful episode in Bosnian history.
The program consisted of large spectrum of performances, from presentations and recitals to drama performances and traditional Bosnian songs. Also, there were announced winners of the essay contest which was organized on occasion of the national holiday Independence Day. More you can see in the gallery.
Referendum for Independence of Bosnia and Herzegovina from Socialist Yugoslavia happened on the 1st March 1992, when for the very first time in its rich history this country declared its independence.
