Faculty of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies, University of Sarajevo, in Partnership with the Social Science Research Center, has organized this year its traditional “Days of Criminal Science” conference.
This year’s event was organized for the 15th time, and as a part of it, International science conference named “Criminology and Criminalistics in function for controlling quality of the Security system” was held as well.
The conference was organized in three separate sessions, from which first two were already accomplished in partnership with institutions like Directorate for Coordination of Police Bodies of Bosnia and Herzegovina and Social Sciences Research Center (SSRC) of International BURCH University.
Those two sessions were held in May and June this year, and they had important repercussion in scientific circles as well as in Bosnian and Herzegovinian public. The final session of the conference was held today in the premises of Sarajevo City Hall starting at 10 AM.
Numerous exhibitors with the scientific works applied in order to be a part of the conference. Many guests confirmed their attendance and managed to gather the most relevant scientists from Bosnia and Herzegovina as well as from Croatia, Serbia, Slovenia, Macedonia and Kosovo in the field of Criminalistics, Criminology and Security Studies.
Scientist and guests were honored with the presence of Prime Minister of Sarajevo Canton, Elmedin Konaković; Minister of Education, Science and Youth, Elvir Kazazović; Mayor of Sarajevo, Ivo Komšić; directors and representatives agencies for law enforcement in Bosnia and Herzegovina; academic representatives as well as members of the diplomatic branch in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Appreciation letters were given to all guests, and the one that was assigned to BURCH University was granted to the Dean of Faculty of Engineering and Information Technologies, Prof. Dr. Yusuf Turan.
