The construction of the student pavilion made of recycled materials is officially supported by the University of Zagreb, Faculty of Architecture University of Zagreb and Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy University of Banja Luka.
Representatives of the universities expressed their enthusiasm and support for this initiative stressing the importance of these activities for Bosnia and Hercegopvinu and beyond.
"We hope that the students - after days of construction and intensive efforts will find in this process sufficient reason for regular use of natural materials, discarded objects or integrative construction methods in their future practice. Only when we consider naturall substance given, we can expect reconciliation with the world in which we live. Once again, we wish you successful construction and real learning, "said the Dean of Architecture, Civil Engineering and Geodesy University of Banja Luka.
"I am convinced that BURCH student pavilion contributes significantly to the wider application of environmentaly friendly alternative building materials in the future and that is the project of greater importance for society in the process of European integration. Given that it involves active learning approach, I believe this is the best way to stimulate professional development and broadening of horizons of future professionals, "said in the words of support assoc. To recall the student pavilion will be built from over 80% recycled materials that are collected during the operation, which runs until 30 September 2015 in Sarajevo Canton. This is because it is the first student pavilion of its kind to be built on the territory of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
