2nd grade students from English Department visited the US Embassy in Sarajevo with their advisor Ms.Lola Turker on 22nd of December
They were welcomed by the US diplomats who were eager to share their knowledge with students and encourage them to learn more about what the US has to offer to them as students and to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After students introduced themselves, they were given a presentation about the NATO mission in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the benefits and responsibilities that come with being a NATO member. Students were given pamphlets with information about scholarships and studying in the US. They talked about their aspirations and were given advice on how they could achieve their goals.
They concluded the visit with a tour of the embassy and they were given a glimpse of the workspace of diplomats. The students were thankful for the opportunity to meet with the US diplomats and talk about issues that concern them.
It was one of the series of activities that English Department realizing with the US Embassy in Sarajevo, and we are looking forward for the forthcoming events.
