Medina Bandić (21 years), a third-year student of the Faculty of Information Technology on BURCH University, was selected among the 38 winners of scholarships for Openlab summer practice organized by CERN.
CERN is one of the largest centers of world science in physics and engineering.
"I am honored to be one of the 38 selected candidates from the world in a really tough competition, which gives me the unique opportunity to gain experience as an independent life in another country, practical training in their profession among the biggest experts in this field, meet people, prior to all students who come from different cultures and visiting places through educational trips that otherwise might not have had the opportunity to visit. I hope an unforgettable and exciting summer that could be the turning point of my future or the motive for better work and dedication, "said Bandić.
Medina Bandić was chosen from 1,481 applicants as the only representative of Bosnia and Herzegovina.
