Bosnian Science Olympiad 2016 to be Implemented in Partnership with the US Embassy and Source of Hope Foundation

International BURCH University, for the fifth time in a row, organizes the biggest high school competition in Bosnia and Herzegovina, known as Bosnian Science Olympiad 2016.


Bosnian Science Olympiad gives an opportunity to the high school students to compete in four categories, as follows: Engineering, Web Design, Environment, and I Have an Idea.Edition of 2015 had a total of 175 submissions, among which 103 were selected to enter official competition. Projects were officially selected by the Committee for Official Selection. Selected projects were presented during the two day event at Burch University.Top 100 projects, 25 per category, will be presented at this year's Olympiad edition. The Olympiad will be held on 8th and 9th of April 2016.

The Bosnian Science Olympiad is a platform for the high school students to present their projects, and, depending on how their ranking, earn a scholarship at BURCH University.Projects are graded by expert committees that are formed for all of the categories. Member of the committees are relevant people from the field, whether professors or experts from the companies related to the categories.

Awards at this year’s Olympiad are the same as previous years:

  1.  First place - full scholarship for undergraduate studies at BURCH University; 21.000KM
  2.  Second place -  75%  percent of tuition fee for three years; 17.750KM
  3.  Third place - 50% scholarship for three years; 10.500KM

Official partners of this year’s Olympiad are the Embassy of the United States of America in Bosnia and Herzegovina and the Foundation Source of Hope. Sponsors of the competition are Bosna Sema Educational Institutions and International BURCH University.
