International Workshop Alternative Futures for Sarajevo Polje 2016 was successfully completed on March 25th at the Faculty of Forestry, University of Sarajevo.
International Workshop - Alternative Futures for Sarajevo Polje 2016 was a part of International Master of Landscape Architecture (IMLA 2016), in cooperation with International BURCH University, Department of Architecture from Sarajevo, University of Sarajevo, Faculty of Forestry and Faculty of Agriculture and Food Production, Nürtingen-Geislingen University (HfWU), DE, Weihenstephan-Triesdorf University of Applied Sciences (HSWT), DE, Université Libre de Bruxelles (BE), Architecture Faculty La Chambre Horta and Association of Landscape Architects in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
After a detailed research on the Sarajevsko Polje students have presented proposals that could enhance landscape of Sarajevo Polje. Starting from themes such as sustainable development, green infrastructure, comfort and morphology, students’ projects revisited the potential of landscape, suggesting directions of development that meet needs of citizens.
All projects have been monitored under the guidance of the international and local team of professors and experts from practice. Thus, students were able to work within diverse groups that resulted in compelling final work.
