1.Where is the Burch University(IBU)?

International Burch University is located in İlidza-Sarajevo,the capital city of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

2.Does Burch accept students from Turkey?

As in the name of university,IBU accepts students from all countries and from Turkey too.

3.Which Faculties and departments does Burch have?

4.What is the education language at IBU?

It is Turkish for Turkish language and literature program and for the other programs of education, language is english.

5.Is preparation class necessary?

They arrange a placement exam to find out students’ english level excluded the students of Turkish language and literature.Students who pass this exam can directly join the class.Also students who get 300 points from TOEFL or 180 points from IELTS exam be counted their adequate.

6.What is the registration requirements for Turkish students(who graduated a high school in Turkey)?

a)A candidate has to get 185 basis points from ÖSS exam that year.

b)If the candidate doesn’t have these conditions,s/he has to get 1000 or above points from SAT exam which has been accepted from YÖK.

7.How many years takes the education at IBU?

-The education period for the Faculty of Education is 4+1 years,for Engineering and Faculty of Economics is 3+2 years.Last 1 year for Faculty of Education and last 2 years for other faculties is MA without thesis.

8.Has IBU diplomas YÖK equivalence?

IBU,according the European Union(bologna) criteria and the European Credit transfer System ECTS engaged in teaching.Students who entered ÖSYM exam from Turkey and who passed that exam besides coures contents of the program is compatible with the equivalence of YÖK.So it won’t be a problem.

9.Is it possible to transfer from IBU to another university or from other universities to IBU?

-It is possible to transfer from all European or American Universities to IBU.Because IBU comply with criteria of bologna.

10.Does IBU have programs for master and doctorate?

-It has been opened programs for master and doctorate at all faculties?

12.Is there any extra payment?

-For the resistance permission in Bosnia and Herzegovina you must pay 200 euro and 200 euros for the books.It makes totally 400 euros for per year.

13.How is it possible to housing in Bosnia and Herzegovina?

-There are some dormitories for girls and boys.Also,there is a opportunity for consulting and guiding for students who wants to stay at rented house.

14.How much students dormitory cost?

-It costs 150 euro for mounth.

15.Is it possible to millitary delay for Turkish students?

-After you register to IBU,you can delay your military duty with the filling some documents which you can take from our student affairs.Then you need to apply to Turkish embassy in Bosnia with these documents.

16.How is the transportaison between Turkey and Bosnia?

There are flights from Turkey everyday except Saturday.Bosnian Airlines flies everyday to Istanbul.There is an agreement between both airlines company and our university.Flight costs 255 Euros for our students.
