The Senate of the International Burch University is the University's highest academic body, comprised of representatives from academic staff and students, and is responsible for making decisions on all academic issues, particularly those relating to teaching, scientific, artistic, and professional activities at the University. The Senate makes academic decisions on the recommendation of the University's organizational units, professional and other bodies, and student representative bodies. At least 15% of Senate members are students elected by the University's Student Parliament (representatives of I, II and III cycle of study).
The Senate is made up of 13 members. Members of the Senate ex officio, i.e. the rector and deans of the IBU faculties, are included in this composition. Other members are appointed for a set period of time. The Senate is currently made up of the following members:
