Over 200 participants, academicians, law professionals and representatives of judicial institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Serbia, Croatian, Slovenian and Montenegro present their papers within four panels.
International scientific conference „Establishment of a Modern Legal System“ was hosted in the campus of the International Burch University on October 24, 2014. Conference organizers are the Social Sciences Research Center of the International Burch University and Law Faculties from Sarajevo, Tuzla, Zenica, Bihać and Mostar, and Faculties of Criminal Justice and Security Studies in Sarajevo and Maribor, and the Center for Judicial and Prosecutorial Training of Federation of Bosnia and Herzgovina.
Over 200 participants, academicians, law professionals and representatives of judicial institutions from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Germany, Serbia, Croatian, Slovenian and Montenegro present their papers within four panels:
• Restorative Justice: Developments in the World and the Situation in Bosnia and Herzegovina
• The Law on Obligations and the UN Convention of the International Sale of Goods: Experiences and Possible Ways of Development
• The Role of the International Community in the Implementation of the Dayton Peace Agreement
• The Role and Importance of the Rule of Law in the EU Integration Process
which are collected and published in the Conference Proceedings Book.

The theme „Establishment of a Modern Legal System" is of special importance for BiH, which started meeting the criteria for the purpose of Euro-Atlantic integrations, but still have to reform and regulate the legal system in order to reach European standards and the rule of law. Therefore, gatherings of regional and European experienced law experts, academicians and practitioners,is highly important to maintain discussions and reach conclusions and recommendations.
After the opening ceremony panel sessions started at B building of the Burch University, where all interested parties also can visit professional publications book fair.
