Since its founding on August 1st, 2000 Stanislaw Staszic University of Applied Sciences in Piła has become an important part of the city landscape, and though this is a short period, various consequential or even revolutionary socio-political changes have taken place in the country in this time. The changes had a profound effect on social and political life, the economy developed on new market rules, and we have been learning democracy as well as self-government.
