The free educational program includes 24 hours of instruction during which 89 students will learn the basics of programming in the Python programming language. The mentors of the pupils are students of the International Burch University, and no prior knowledge is required for attending the school.

CoderDojo is a worldwide movement established in Ireland with the aim of providing the opportunity of learning programming languages from the earliest childhood. During 2016, more than 48,000 children attended CoderDojo schools of programming in 65 countries across the globe.

“IT is a very dynamic discipline and is focused on the use and application of technologies in education, business, transport, medicine as well as in many other areas. As such, it offers various employment opportunities, both in the world and in Bosnia and Herzegovina. In the labor market, there is a high demand for developers, especially for those who besides technical have good communication skills. It is important to note that programming helps us to think logically and approach the solution of a problem in the most efficient way, by delimiting it into parts, and by solving part by part”, said Professor at Burch University, Assist Prof. Dr. Zerina Mašetić.
