We Can Help You
Do we need to have a portfolio of our work in order to apply for this department?
Portfolio is not mandatory, but it is recommended to bring it if you are aiming for the scholarship we offer. International Burch University has an interview procedure for all new students where your portfolio can be an additional plus for you to get a scholarship.
What kind of practical work does your department offer?
Graphic Design and Multimedia has currently two practical facilities: Mac room and Multimedia studio. Mac room has 13 iMac computers with latest Adobe software for Photography, Graphic Design and Video production. Multimedia studio is our newest addition and aims to provide students with equipment for photo and video work. New equipment is constantly being added to answer the needs of our department. From next academic year, one more computer lab is planned with specifications that can answer heavy animation and video editing tasks.
What are the opportunities upon graduation?
We have students that work even now, while studying. A wide range of skills we teach enables students to start freelancing and shaping their experience right from the start. The expansion of technology requires a lot of design, photography and video skills in many industries nowadays and if you are willing to get out there and work, you won't have any problems.
What kind of projects do students work on?
Our department is heavily based on developing practical skills of our students. Most of our courses are composed of 4-5 projects on average. That is more than 20 projects per semester. We have professors that work in the industry and they tailor the projects according to the needs of the market. We make projects that are realistic and students can start building their portfolio right from there.
