Program Description

The Department of Architecture approaches architectural education as an academic discipline as well as a profession. It is structured in three cycles 3+2+3 program, awarding bachelor, master and PhD degrees respectfully. The teaching of design and mentorship is set as the focus of architectural education concentrating on developing ideas in architecture, in regards to social, cultural, and physical context. The department's curricula is implemented by the team of young professionals with international experience, and from a variety of fields related to the disciplines including architectural design, urban design, architectural theory, interior design, history of architecture, technology, sustainable and landscape architecture.
The department collaborates with many of the international universities and stakeholders. Through students and staff exchange, annual workshops, projects and competitions the university provides the opportunity to IBU architecture students and staff to have international educational and professional experience.
