“The quality of life for disabled people at the beginning of the 21st century”

International Conference

Disability in various forms affects children, young people, people of working age and older persons. Regardless of the type of dysfunction (sight, hearing, mobility) or chronic disease, all disabled people deserve full participation in public life, respect from society and self-esteem – normality in relationships. Convinced of the importance of this subject we would like to invite you to participate in this year’s conference.

The aim of the conference is to activate the scientific community and the business sector for the benefit of disabled people by showing the problems they face in everyday life. The premise of the organizers is the identification and presentation of the basic legal, medical, economic and social problems of disabled people and to offer them some specific solutions. The conference will present various aspects of the lives of people with disabilities in the context of its quality. Much attention will be devoted to the problem of exclusion and the integration of people with disabilities into society.

The target audience of the conference is people with disabilities together with their carers, organizations working for the disabled, employees of family support centres and family support centres, representatives of government institutions dealing with people with disabilities and academic professionals associated with the problems of the disabled.

This year’s conference is a continuation of the National Conference “I cannot see a problem – the quality of life of people with impaired vision“, which took place on 11th June 2015 at the Faculty of Law, Administration and Economics of the University of Wroclaw.
