The Framework Program 7 (FP7) Info Day was held at the International Burch University on 29th of December 2010. The FP7 representative Mr. Ammar Miraščija, Head of the National Contact Point (NCP), together with Mr. Đorđe Markez, the NCP for Legal and Financial issues and Mr. Dalibor Drljača, the NCP for mobility and regional programs, presented in detail the various opportunities that the FP7 program for research and development offers to members of academia and universities as a whole.
Mr. Miraščija made general introduction into the subject of this program, application procedure and the statistical analysis of Bosnian institution's involvement. Afterwards Mr. Markez presented a detailed scheme of the financial aspects of the FP7, and Mr. Drljača also explained the PEOPLE program for mobility, and the project EURAXESS mobility network, which Bosnia and Herzegovina joined as a full member in the year 2010.
FP7 is the short name for the Seventh Framework Program for Research and Technological Development. This is the European Union's main instrument for funding research in Europe and it will run from 2007-2013. FP7 is also designed to respond to Europe's employment needs, competitiveness and quality of life.
