A lecture organized by International Burch University Computer Club (IBUCC)
Lecture on Cloud Computing organized by International Burch University Computer Club (IBUCC) was held by senior programmer Dino Kečo, on 24th of November in 103 conference room, as it was previously announced.
Starting from cloud computing name explanation and definitions in general, Mr. Kečo also explained the futuristic side of it and detailed info as data access and Hadoop simplified data processing.
As Mr. Kečo mentioned a cloud service has three distinct characteristics that differentiate it from traditional hosting and the service is fully managed by the provider. Significant innovations in virtualization and distributed computing, as well as improved access to high-speed Internet and a weak economy, have accelerated interest in cloud computing.
The lecture was attended by students of undergraduate and postgraduate studies at our University, as well as by academic staff. Attendees had an opportunity to gain some knowledge that could be useful in their future work.
Atfter the question and answer part Halit Vural, Teaching Assistant in Information Technologies Department congratulated the guest lecturer Dino Kečo and presented him a gift on behalf of the University.
