On February 29, 2012 Ms. Sunshine Ison and the visitors from the English Department of IBU lead a highly informative and interesting discussion
The students of English Department alongside Dr. Azamat Akbarov, the head of English department, were once again kindly hosted in the U.S. Embassy on February 29th by Ms. Sunshine Ison, the attaché for Culture and Education of the U.S. Embassy, with the aim of having a discussion on some interesting topics.
After students introduced themselves, Ms. Ison gave some information about her life and her 7 years long service experience. She also described Bosnia and Herzegovina as the most beautiful country she had ever seen, emphasizing its unique history, and giving this fact as a reason for her stay here over the 2 years.
Lately, Ms. Ison gave her audience the idea of the U.S. and Americans as independent individuals, and their values as being a far more complex story that many people might think. Additionally, they tend to find their place in the community and the way to contribute to that.
In the question-answer section, Ms. Ison revealed her recipe to maintain the balance between her career and private life, commented on Turkey as a country she would really want to visit, and elaborated the projects that her department conducted.
At the end of the meeting, Ms. Ison recommended the audience to visit their official website and find out more on a project with a task to make an own business plan in order to win valuable prizes. The meeting was officially concluded by Dr. Akbarov handing a humble gift to Ms. Ison.
