Upon the invitation of Burch University Vice-Rector, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azamat Akbarov, International Burch University had an honor to host Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jevgenij Pašcenko, Head of Ukrainian Language Department at Faculty of Humanities and Social Sciences of University of Zagreb. On 16th of December, 2013, students were present for the lecture “The History of Slavic Folklore – Ukraine, Culture and History”.
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jevgenij Pašcenko talked about his experience and results from the research on the topic of language, using the example of City of Dubrovnika as a ancient center for the language development. Professor Pašcenko also talked about progress of the language in the Balkan region, as well as about future perspectives for its development.
Lecture held in Croatian language was a quite interesting experience for domestic and international students. At the end Vice-Rector Akbarov presented the Appreciation Letter on behalf of the University to respected guest Assoc. Prof. Dr. Jevgenij Pašcenko.
