Second English Teachers’ Training Program was held today in the A block of the International Burch University premises. The training was organized by International Burch University in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy, the British Council, Pedagogical Institute of Canton Sarajevo and Pedagogical Institute of Zenica- Doboj Canton. The objective of the today’s Seminar was to introduce the new approaches and methods in the study of English language.
Experienced lecturers, Emeritus Zvonimir Radeljković and Prof. Dr. Snežana Bilbija from University of Sarajevo, Prof. Dr. Milena Žic Fuchs from University of Zagreb and former Minister of Education of the Republic of Croatia, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Azamat Akbarov from International Burch University, and Ms. Alma Pirić English language Fellow at the U.S. Embassy, gave valuable information to 220 participants from 40 different schools and 5 universities. English teachers from Sarajevo, area of Zenica-Doboj Canton and Tuzla were delighted to have such an important professors sharing knowledge and opening new horizons.
Seminar co-organizers and directors of Pedagogical Institute in Sarajevo, Mrs. Dina Borovina, and in Zenica Mrs. Munevera Selmanović , Director of the British Council Mrs. Larisa Halilović and the Cultural Affairs Officer of the U.S. Embassy Mr. Eric Catalfamo, had short addressing were they all agreed on one thing, that this kind of training programs are necessary for lecturers, and that they will always give their support to positive events, and thanked to International Burch University for its organization.
