Social Sciences Research Center of the International Burch University proudly announce that the Center was accepted as a member of the European Law Institute. It is second institution from Bosnia and Herzegovina, after Law Faculty of University of Sarajevo, which was accepted as Institutional Observer.
The ELI has been established to initiate, conduct and facilitate research, make recommendations and provide practical guidance in the field of European legal development. The ELI's working definition of the law in Europe encompasses not only the development of European law by the European Union and the Council of Europe, but also other fields of national law and may include the devlopment of international law, both public and private.
Since its inauguration the European Law Institute (ELI) has started to lead a pan-European conversation, engaging with individuals and institutions throughout the continent and beyond to make recommendations that will leave a lasting mark on the European legal landscape.
ELI President Diana Wallis expressed her great pleasure to welcome the Social Sciences Research Center of the International Burch University, that can contribute to the work of the Institute, not least by suggesting new projects to be carried out by ELI and taking part in events. Membership of the institute will also provide the Center with access to a network of renowed experts and many other active roles in the ELI.
