Students Visit to Parliament

On Monday, December 22, students from the first and third year of study at the English Department, alongside with their advisors visited the building of the Parliament of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Students were welcomed by Jovica Katić, who served as the tour guide for the day, and held a short presentation, elaborating on the constitution of the Parliament, its main parts, and the roles it performs in the legislation and government of Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Mr. Katić then proceeded to show the assembly the three most important halls in the Parliament building; the Blue Room, where the members of the House of Representatives meet, and the White Room, which is reserved for the House of Peoples meetings. The tour was concluded with a visit to the Great Room, where the most important parliamentary sessions are held.

Throughout the tour the students asked questions concerning the current governmental system, the roles of members of the parliament, and the future of the country’s legislation.
