On the 12th of November, 2014, Dean of the Faculty of Education, Associate Professor Azamat Akbarov, traveled to Uzbekistan to take part in the International Conference on Pedagogical Cooperation in the System of Continuous Education.
The conference, held by Tashkent State Pedagogical University named after Nizami, brought together more than five hundred participants from all around the world.
Professor Akbarov attended the conference as one of the five plenary speakers, alongside speakers from Russia and Japan, as well as the Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan and the Rector of the Tashkent State Pedagogical University. He spoke about his experience of living and teaching in Bosnia and Herzegovina. The same day, he delivered another lecture at Tashkent Pedagogical University.
In the presence of prospective teachers, the Minister of Public Education of Uzbekistan appreciated and thanked Professor Akbarov, promising to visit Bosnia and Herzegovina and Burch University sometime in the near future. Professor Akbarov also gave an interview for the Uzbekistan State television, speaking about the current state of the educational system in Bosnia, and Burch University respectively, and spoke about possible future endeavors.
