Education Faculty of International Burch University in cooperation with the Association for Applied Linguistics in Bosnia and Herzegovina organized 1st International Forum on Bosnian Language and Literature with regard to celebration of International Mother Language Day.
Guest lecturers were Dr. Alen Kalajdžija from University of Sarajevo who is also Research Associate in the Institute for Language in Sarajevo and Dr. Halid Bulić from University of Sarajevo and Slavic Committee in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Both speakers emphasized the importance of Bosnian as a mother tongue as well as the preservation of culture and languages used by people of the world.
In the end of the program Dean of the Faculty Azamat Akbarov awarded the certificates to lecturers and thanked them for taking part in such an important event.
International Mother Language Day is held annually on 21st of February worldwide with the main aim to encourage multilingualism and cultural diversity.
