International Burch University in cooperation with the U.S. Embassy in Sarajevo organized the 3rd annual Student Symposium - a project committed to the constant improvement and development of undergraduate and graduate students.
On 5th of March, one day long 3rd Students Seminar was opened with the ceremony attended by representatives of the International Burch University, University in Sarajevo, US Embassy, and university professors and students.
Audience was addressed by the Rector Prof. Dr. Mehmet Uzunoğlu, symposium coordinator and Dean of Faculty of Education Dr. Azamat Akbarov, Dr. Zehra Kreho, Vice Rector of the University in Sarajevo, Eric Catalfamo, and Cultural Affairs Offices of the US Embassy to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Nathan William Meyer from the US Embassy in Belgrade.
After the greetings and introductory speeches students had the chance to attend plenary session by Nathan William Meyer and learn more about „English for Academic Purposes“, presentation that draw attention of symposium participants and many other students.
Student Symposium, annually organized at the International Burch University with institutional partners, in 2015 hosted 88 participants, who will deliver their research findings individually or as a group. 35 participants come from Croatia, Montenegro, Serbia and Turkey, and all state universities in BiH have representatives. 3rd Student Symposium published the Book of Abstracts.
At the closing ceremony later today all participants will be awarded Certificate of participation.
