In September 21st in Mountain View (California) at the main headquarters of Google Corporation a final competition in the Google Science Fair 2015.
At this prestigious competition 20 projects of young scientists from all around the world were presented. The finalists presented 10 countries by the number of projects - USA (7 projects), Canada (2), Singapore (2), Taiwan (2), United Kingdom (2), Bosnia and Herzegovina, France, India, Lithuania, Russia and Taiwan.
Anela Arifi (18) and Ilda Ismaili (17), students of the International High School in Tuzla, were named as the competition finalists Science Fair 2015.
It is important to mention, that these two exceptionally talented students from Tuzla have continuesly won numerous awards in international competitions.
While their mentor Aydan Meydan won the award for "INSPIRING EDUCATOR AWARD", for the exceptional work and aid in the realization of the project. The award consists of: $ 10,000 intended for equipping schools from Google and $ 5,000 worth of scientific equipment and accessories from LEGO Education.
Project description that Google has included in the final competition is that it is a double recreation system for bio diesel production and materials to store hydrogen from waste chicken feathers.
Google science fair is a global online science competition open to individuals and teams of between 13 and 18 years. Sponsors of the competition are: Google, Lego, Virgin Galactic, National Geographic and American Scientist.
