In the Blue Room of the BiH Parliamentary Assembly the final conference of the EU-funded project "Strengthening the institutional capacity for quality assurance in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina" was held.
Bosnia and Herzegovina and Austria from September 2013 are to cooperate in the framework of the Twinning project funded by the EU "Strengthening the institutional capacity for quality assurance in higher education in Bosnia and Herzegovina". The contractual partner of Austria's Agency for European Integration and Economic Development (AEI). Agency for quality assurance and accreditation of Austria (AQ Austria), along with a variety of experts, provide relevant expertise related to the content.
The goal of this two-year twinning project was the implementation of quality assurance in higher education system of BiH in accordance with the principles of the European Higher Education Area (EHEA) and the Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance in the European Higher Education Area (ESG).
The role and responsibilities in the implementation of quality assurance agencies and relevant stakeholders have been strengthened and reinforced in the need for sustainable cooperation. Twinning project through various activities ultimately contributed to what has been achieved through the transfer of experience and knowledge that come from one agency for external quality assurance within the European Union.
A representative of BURCH University at the final conference was the coordinator of the Quality Assurance Office Mr. Ensar Mekić.
