3rd International Conference on Economic and Social Studies (ICESoS'15) was officially opened today at the congress hall of the Radon Plaza Hotel.
International Burch University for the third time organized an International Conference on Economic and Social Studies, ICESoS '15, which will be held from 23-24th of April 2015. The conference is organized in collaboration with the University of Tuzla, University of Zenica and University of East Sarajevo as local, and with Epoka University from Albania and Faculty of Economics in Podgorica from Montenegro as international partners. The opening ceremony and keynote speeches were held in the congress hall of the Radon Plaza Hotel this morning.
The main theme and motto of this year's conference is „Business Perspectives“, which gives an overview of the economic situation in the country and in Balkan region from the perspective of regional experts.
Conference Chairman Assoc. Prof. Dr. Teoman Duman held an introductory speech extending his appreciation and greeting to all Organizing Committee members, invited guests and participants. He underlined that purpose of the conference is to bring together academics, experts and business professionals to discuss issues related to regional economic development in Western Balkans .
Later the audience was addressed by H.E. Edward Ferguson, British Ambassador to Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Senaid Memić, Major of Ilidža Municipality, and Dr. Sead Kreso from Faculty of Economics of University of Sarajevo, Mr. Ole Hammer, representative of Delegation of the European Union to Bosnia and Herzegovina, and at the end Dean of Faculty of Economics of University of Tuzla, Prof. Dr. Safet Kozarević. All speakers supported the conference expressing their appreciation to organizer for pointing out importance of cooperation in important economical questions.
Introductory panel sessions hosted domestic academics and business experts from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Dr. Muharem Karamujić from University of Sarajevo, Branimir Muidža, the Director of Kakanj Cement Heidelberg Group and Foreign Investors Council in BiH, and Mr. Almiur Jazvin, CEO of Prevent Group .
Working part of the ICESoS ’15 was continued after the Sarajevo City tour with panel sessions at campus of International Burch University today, and tomorrow until 19:00 o’clock when the closing ceremony will take part.
