The Association for Applied Linguistics in Bosnia and Herzegovina in cooperation with the BURCH University, the German Embassy in Sarajevo, Goethe Institute and DAAD organized the second annual Forum on German Language and Literature in commemoration of Wilhelm and Jacob Grimm.
Audience was welcomed by Professor Dr. Azamat Akbarov Dean of Faculty of Education, and later addressed by Ms. Susanne Mattis, Attaché for Culture, Press and Protocol at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany.
Ms. Tanja Sanden, Head of DAAD Office in Sarajevo gave brief information about the studying in Germany and scholarships, inviting students to address this institution for more detailed information. Ms. Claudia Kindler, Director of Goethe Institute briefly described Institute’s possible opportunities and it’s in Bosnia i Herzegovina. Main lecturer, Dr. Enisa Pleska, lectured on attitudes of students towards learning foreign language and German respectively.
Importance of learning language and getting to know related culture was once more emphasized from the German Forum addressing, as well as being part of professional associations, which can be helpful in achieving professional excellence and staying in touch with latest standards.
