Business Development Club at BURCH University organized a motivational lecture “Be Brave and Take a Chance”, presented by Mr. Erol Mujanović, the co-founder of the Non-Government Organization (NGO) “Marathon”.
The lecture was divided into three parts. In the first part, Mr. Mujanović talked about his career path, while giving some general tips and advices that could help students in their efforts towards success. Mr. Mujanović also emphasized the most important things to do when it comes to finding a job and talked about his beginnings, first volunteering and job experiences. His first job was at age of 16, in a country whose culture and language he did not know. Transition and learning period lasted for him seven years, until he was employed on the better jobs and better times. In the second part of the lecture, he talked about fulfilling his dream and founding the NGO “Marathon”. “There is no strong and healthy nation without strong and healthy individuals”, said Mr. Mujanović. In the third part, he focused on the power of running and his belief that he was “born to run”. With his own example Mr. Mujanović proved that with hard work, strong will and a lot of motivation everything is possible.
As Mr. Mujanović mentioned, we need to grow each day, learn new things, adapt to new surroundings and live the moment. Mr. Mujanović said we should never do something that does not make us happy. If that happens, it means that we should leave it and try something else.
Head of the Department of Management, Prof. Dr. Mersid Poturak, handed a letter of appreciation to our guest. All students were impressed by the lecture and left the hall in positive spirits.
