Jasin Hodžić, Master's student at Department of Genetics and Bioengineering at Burch University, has been awarded with the "Best Student Paper Award" at International Conference on Official Statistics (ICOS2017).
ICOS2017 is a joint initiative by the School of Economics and Business of the University of Sarajevo, and the Institute for Statistics of the Federation of Bosnia and Herzegovina that aims to bring together academics, practitioners and data user aiming to present their research, share their best practices, and discuss avenues for development of official statistics in B&H and globally.
Under supervision of International Burch University Assist. Prof. Dr. Şenol Doğan, Jasin Hodžić prepared and submitted the paper "Statistical Analysis of Bihać Territory Soil Chemical Composition Data for Creation of Soil Composition Profiles". The data used in the research was provided by the Agricultural Institute of Una-Sana Canton, under authorization of the director of the institute, Mr. Edham Hodžić, MSc.
The best paper award ceremony was held in March in Sarajevo, B&H, and we sincerely congratulate to Jasin Hodžić and his mentor, Assist. Prof. Dr. Şenol Doğan, on this achievement, wishing them more similar projects in their future work.
