BURCH University Visited by Edita Marić

On Monday, Association for Computing Machinery (ACM) club at International Burch University hosted a very successful young woman, Edita Marić. For their first lecture for this semester, ACM team decided to have someone with interesting and outstanding background who can truly motivate others and Edita seemed like the right person to choose.

She has been traveling, working and learning a lot and certainly had many stories to tell and many lessons to teach. Right now, Edita is a legal research Associate at Alchemy Capital.
Edita has been an Intern at US Congress for a year. She also won a Chevening scholarship, a prestige scholarship for studying in the United Kingdom, so she used this fact to encourage others to apply and explained the whole process of becoming a Chevening scholar. Edita also talked about her experiences abroad, the struggles she faced while applying to many different internship programs, and how pursuing your dreams is important, no matter how bleak things seem.

After the speech, she has been given a private tour of our university accompanied by ACM team and Senior Teaching Assistant Prof. Malcolm Duerod.

We were very glad to have a guest like Edita and we hope we will cooperate more frequently in the future.
