International Burch University staff attended the China and Central Eastern Europe Country (CEEC) Innovation Forum 2017, which aims to become a leading platform to set up collaboration between innovation ecosystems in China and the 16 countries of Central and Eastern Europe. It promotes collaboration and investments in excellent research and innovation projects to create the successful exchange of ideas, talents, know-how, and resources within the 16+1 format.
The Conference is organised under the “16+1” platform, created in April 2012 in Warsaw by China and the 16 Central and Eastern European (CEE) countries to intensify and expand cooperation in the fields of investments, transport, finance, science, education, and culture. In the framework of the initiative, China has defined three potential priority areas for economic cooperation: infrastructure, high technologies, and green technologies.
Within this framework of cooperation, Slovakia has been appointed as a leading country for innovation and has agreed with China to host and organise the annual CEEC and China inter-ministerial conference on innovation and technology transfer. This year’s annual inter-ministerial conference is taking place in Bratislava, Slovakia, from the 26th – 29th November 2017.
