The International Burch University professor, Prof. Dr. Meliha Handžić, was invited to Epoka University to give a lecture on "Research Demand" to their staff and students as part of a research training event.
Academic Evaluation and Quality Improvement Board (AEQI), in cooperation with Internal Quality Assurance office and Research and Projects (RPO) office of Epoka University, organized the workshop on Research Training. The workshop constituted of a series of talks on qualitative research demand and supply offered by distinguished international speakers.
The event started with the welcoming remarks by Dr. Islam Jusufi, head of AEQI Board, who pointed out the important role and responsibility universities have in researching and providing new knowledge to the communities. Next, Dr. Diturije Ismaili, head of RPO office gave to the audience an overview of past and present research works Epoka staff has been engaged so far. Then, the event followed with the training session of Prof. Dr. Teoman Duman, professor of marketing, who focused on the business of academic publishing and on risks of fake journals. Prof. Dr. Meliha Handzic, an expert on knowledge management, informed the audience on European Research Programmes and prestigious European Academic Institutions.
Lastly, Prof. Dr. Jorge de Brito, a well-recognized international scholar, trained the academicians on how to approach qualitative journals and practical tips on publishing.
