Burch became a member of the United Nations Academic Impact

The International Burch University is now a member of the United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) along with the 1,300 institutions in more than 135 countries working with the United Nations on the promotion of global priorities, including peace, human rights, and sustainable development.

The United Nations Academic Impact (UNAI) is an initiative that links institutions of higher education with the United Nations in supporting and contributing to the realization of goals and mandates of the United Nations, including the promotion and protection of human rights, access to education, sustainability and conflict resolution.

Besides the University of Sarajevo, IBU is the second University member from BiH and the first private University from Bosnia.  It is also among only 16 universities from the Balkan region that are its members.

The work of these institutions is vital to achieving the sustainable development goals on the global scale, thus supporting and advancing ten basic principles including human rights, addressing poverty, peace and conflict resolution, capacity building, education for everyone, access to higher education, global citizenship, intercultural dialogue, sustainability, and the United Nations Charter.
