Assist. Prof. Dr. Jasmin Hasić and Assist. Prof. Dr. Dženeta Karabegović, both assistant professors at the International Burch University, Department of International Relations and European Studies, were guest lecturers at the International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) in the Hague where they participated in the Erasmus+ teaching mobility program.
During their stay in the Netherlands, they gave a lecture at ISS and conducted several interviews with representatives of the local Bosnian diaspora associations, to gain a better understanding of their mobilization patterns.
Their lecture „ So What? The policy relevance of Diaspora Research with a special focus on Bosnia and Herzegovina“ provided a brief overview of the recent developments in the creation of a diaspora strategy in Bosnia and Herzegovina, highlighting a diaspora mapping exercise which is conducted in various countries of the EU, USA, and Australia.
