The first Students’ Day at International Burch University was held towards the end of the month of December 2017, at which many activities and opportunities that students have at their disposal were presented.
"This isn’t the first such an event is taking place at our University, but it is the first time that we’re branding and organizing it as such. Before, it was a conglomeration of student clubs that were recruiting new members, but now we’ve expanded it to include other activities and opportunities which we have at our disposal, such as the International Relations Office and that’s why we called this event ‘Students’ Day’ and not something else", said Jasmin Novalić, the vice president of the Student Parliament and the event coordinator.
The Student Parliament of International Burch University, seven student clubs, the International Relations Office and the tourism agency Sol Azur had stood and presented their work and opportunities to those interested. Those interested also could purchase promotional merchandise, including hoodies, various notebooks, backpacks and more, thereby showing how proud they are at their University.
The Student Parliament presented its work, opportunities for students to get more involved and plans for its future work. The International Relations Office presented to students various possibilities for student exchanges via bilateral agreements with other Universities and Erasmus+ agreements.
In accordance with an agreement between the Student Parliament and the tourism agency Sol Azur, the agency presented various offers for student excursions and travels throughout Europe with a special discount for Burch students.
Student clubs which partook in Students’ Day and presented themselves to their colleagues were Burch Diplomacy Club, Burch Genetics Club, Business Development Club, Embedded Systems Design Club, IBU CM Student Chapter, Linguistics Club and the Student Association of the Faculty of Education.
Hundreds of students visited the various stands and the organizers expressed their satisfaction with the event and hope for a better and wider event next semester.
