Visit by a distinguished Prof. Dr. Nicolae Bibu of the West University of Timisoara marked and enriched the working week of IBU students.
Dean of the Faculty of Economics Prof. Dr. Natasa Tandir had the opportunity to host a professor and introduce him to the way of work and studies at the IBU. After the meeting, the professor was given an opportunity to introduce himself to the students of the Department of Management and start with his thematic lectures. With his many years of experience and a professional, unique and very modern approach in the field of management, the professor pointed out the importance of management as a study area in today's environment.
Prior to reviewing the work of the IBU, the professor recalled his earlier visits to the city of Sarajevo in the early 1990s, saying: "It's good to be back in this beautiful city. Many things have changed, the city is more modern, people are more open. I am particularly pleased to see how much the educational system has improved, you are the best example of how, through modern access to education, you contribute to the development of young people in all segments."
The professor was presented with the Burch Business Incubator, where he did not hide enthusiasm and additionally encouraged the idea of the entrepreneurial university as a very important point, stressing that Start Up competitions can greatly contribute to the creativity, the motivation of students and prepare them for the labor market.
"These are very young people who are about to discover how one organization works. It is very important to focus on their active participation, starting their own business, teaching young people how to become innovative, self-motivating founders of the new idea, the leaders of their team and ultimately active citizens who are taking action ", concluded Prof. Dr. Nicolae Bibu.
The weekly visit of the professor ended with a meeting with the Rector of the International Burch University Prof. Dr. Mersid Poturak, exchanging important information on improving the exchange program for staff and students where both sides expressed sincere satisfaction with the successful long-term cooperation of the universities.
Moreover, as a part of the Erasmus + Mobility and Exchange Program, the IBU's International Relations Office had the honor to host Mrs. Aureliana Cosmina Macarie, a representative of the University "1 December 1918" Alba Iulia from Romania. The meeting covered the planning and consideration of additional opportunities for improving the already existing cooperation.
