In the past two months, employees of International Burch University (IBU) have been on exchanges within the Erasmus + program in countries all over Europe (Romania, Lithuania, Poland and Spain).
April was a very dynamic month in terms of international exchanges involving IBU staff members. Head of Management department Assist. Prof. Dr. Nataša Tandir attended the "International Staff Week" in Romania at the Western University in Timisoara, which, as our long-standing partner of Erasmus + program, has significant history and excellence in teaching and scientific research. On the same occasion, Head of the Student Affairs Office, Mr. Adil Bilalić visited Vytautas Magnus University in Kaunas, Lithuania. The week passed in interactive sessions, networking, presentation of IBU and meeting the cultural and social life of this beautiful Baltic country.
Coordinator of International Relations Office of IBU, Ms. Emina Mekić and teaching assistant at Department of English Language and Literature Ms. Esma Latić also attended “International Staff Week ˮ in Lublin, Poland. They were given the opportunity to present all the capacities of International Burch University related to teaching, research, innovation and enterpreneurship.
The month of May was marked by visits to Spain within international mobility program. The University of Leon was visited by IBU Rector Assoc. Prof. Dr. Mersid Poturak, Assist. Prof. Dr. Murat Oner from the Department of English and Literature, Assist. Prof. Dr. Lejla Odobašić Novo from the Department of Architecture and Research assistant from the Department of Information Technology Ms. Aida Granulo. We are proud of the fact that this university is one of the most active partners in the Erasmus + program and that 30 members of staff and students have so far been exchanged among themselves.
During this month, three members of IBU administrative staff also participated in the mobility program. Head of Economic and Finance Office Zerina Novalic, Secretary of the Faculty of Engineering and Natural Sciences Mirdin Zilić, and Quality Manager & Economic and Finance Officer Ajdin Mekić visited Powislanski College in Kwidzyn, Poland. In addition to their presentation of IBU, they participated in the "Second Fair of Higher Education Institutions" Kwidzyn 2019 and attended workshops of motivational and educational character.
After these three visits, International Burch University was given another opportunity to confirm its reputation as a valuable higher educational institution which can stand in line with renowned European universities with an aim to continue in the same manner in the future.
