International Relations Office at International Burch University hosted representatives from the Netherlands and Lithuania within the Erasmus + program in the period 22.07-26.07. 2019.
We started working week with a meeting with representatives from the International Institute for Social Sciences from The Hague, Ms. Salomey Gyamfi Afrifa and Ms. Erika Marques from project and research office at Erasmus University in Rotterdam. During the visit, guests were introduced with the function of IBU International Relations Office, the education system and the capacity offered by our University. Head of IBU International Relations Office Ms. Emina Mekic spoke about the importance of cooperating with this Institute pointing out: "Besides this very important visit and exchange of experiences, we are also proud of the fact that this Institute hosted our three students from the Department of International Relations and European Studies during the summer semester who are about to finish their mobility. We hope that this partnership from 2017 will include an even greater number of successfully organized mobility of students and staff in future cooperation.''
The week was completed by a very important visit of the marketing office representatives from the Vytautas Magnus University of Lithuania, Mr. Vytautas Kučinskas and Mr. Nerijus Žeronas. As former students, and later employees of the university with centennial tradition, they had the opportunity to get acquainted with the head of the IBU's Marketing and Public Relations Office Ms. Azra Habibija Ražanica, who through the tour of the university presented all the IBU resources and capacities. During the tour and one-day visit, representatives from Lithuania emphasized similarities and the links of these two higher education institutions expressing their enthusiasm with IBU's work.
The joint conclusion of the meeting was that marketing and promotion of education are of particular importance in the modern world, with particular emphasis on the importance of skillful management of social networks as the media that young people often use as a source of information.
IBU will continue to be actively involved in the exchange projects within the Erasmus + program in the forthcoming period.
