On Sunday, 31 March 2019, an entrance exam for high school students, new students for academic 2019/2020, was held on the campus of the International Burch University. This year’s scholarship exam, which was held in Sarajevo, Zenica, Tuzla, and Bihać, gathered many high school students from Bosnia and Herzegovina and the region.
Given the smaller number of children, including high school students in B&H, a team that worked hard on formation of the exam and marketing materials, as well as other Burch University staff who helped with all the preparations, is more than satisfied and happy with a record entry at the entrance examination for Scholarships at Burch University. Yes, you read it well; the entrance examination for scholarships has indeed reached a record number of high school students, both in Sarajevo and other cities in Bosnia and Herzegovina. A record entry of High School Students at the Scholarship Exam organized by the International Burch University is a clear indication that Burch University is one of the leading higher education institutions in B&H and the region.
"It's a big decision ahead of you. First and foremost, what, and then where to study. Big decisions carry important days, moments, debates. Today is a great day, today is the entrance examination for scholarships at the International Burch University. There is a high number of interested students, much larger than the previous year, to study at the International Burch University. This high figure is proof that we have worked well for the past months and years. What I want to say today to young girls and boys is to concentrate and show your knowledge and be ready to move into a new phase of your life. We, professors, call this new phase “the study phase” and at International Burch University we want you to support and help you in your accomplishments", said Prof. Dr. Damir Marjanović, Rector of the International Burch University.
In addition to the rector, Prof. Dr. Marjanović, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Senad Bećirović, Dean of the Faculty of Education and Humanities of the International Burch University, also spoke about the entrance exam. On this occasion, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Bećirović said that he was extremely pleased with the students’ response and that he expects all the faculties and study programs of the University of Burch to be filled out to their maximum capacity, although year after year fewer high school students enroll in faculties in Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The results of the exam will be published on our website www.ibu.edu.ba
